In all cases you can do the same thing, which is easy, but when you are in a state of panic, it does not seem so. Take a deep breath in through your nose. Hold it for three to five seconds and release it out trough your mouth. If you can, close your eyes when you do this. By doing the above, you help in slowing your heart rate which eases the flow of blood through your body. You will start to feel better after taking a few of these. slow breathing technics are used in Yoga, Meditation and when giving Reiki. I've found that when practicing Reiki on a person, and as I breath slowly, they begin to do the same and often fall asleep because they are so relaxed. De-stress yourself by slowing down, no matter how urgent something is, if you are no longer with us to complete it, you will not enjoy it. Stress can bring on heart attacks, don't become a statistic. Namaste
