Learn to turn away from the people who live for this state of mind. This is all negativity, who needs it, not me that for sure and not you either. In every situation that comes your way, if you are not directly involved find a way out of the conversation. Why would you want to be associated with such chaos? This is where people end up taking on other people's issues as I they are their own. What good does this really do for you? The only thing you get us a lesson in how not to react.
Granted there is not an easy out to every problem that faces us. However, we can choose not to take on other people's problems and issue too. Why would you even want to deal with an issue that does not affect you. If you walk way before your dragged into it, there will be no residual affect on your spirit.
Keeping a healthy spirit is part I having a healthy body. You can find yourself going over and over a friends issues, thinking that you maybe able help. There is a difference between offering your advice or/and assistance to carrying the burden. Be sure you can sense if you are on the right side of this. A good friend will always want to help their friend, but if this person does not respond to your assistance, then walk away.
Know the difference between dwelling in the muck of it and working your way out of it. Many people like the attention they get when they are in the midst of stress, let them stay there if you have tried to pull them out & they resist. No one can truly help another person if they do not want the assistance. This person will only drag you down with them, use your own life vest and float, rising above the murky waters.
Keeping a clear and positive thought set is the best way to be able to help anyone. Including yourself. If you find that you are beginning to walk down a dark path in a stressful situation STOP! Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. Slow your breathing down so that you can begging to see again and come out of the clouds. Once you can see and focus you will be able to find your way out. Nothing is worth losin your spiritual, mental and physical health over.
